Boy’s middle school tennis team meeting, Thursday February 20th after school. It will be a brief informational meeting in which I will talk about the basic overview of the team and answer any questions. We will meet in the Alumni Room.

Track and Field Information
There will be an informational meeting for all 7th and 8th grade athletes and parents on February 19, starting at 6:00pm in the MS cafeteria.
Track season starts on March 2.
Registration is done through Final Forms. Registering does not commit you to be on the team but will allow the coaches to email information about the upcoming season.

Dear Parents,

Wyoming Middle School is excited about the upcoming 5th grade Kindness Retreat that will be facilitated by Youth Frontiers, Inc.!

On the kindness retreat, the Youth Frontiers Staff will focus on how kindness makes a positive difference in our school and how unkind, bullying behaviors hurt others. This high-energy, interactive retreat is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, 2020 for the 5th grade class and will be held in the middle school gymnasium.

An important part of the Kindness Retreat is the small group discussions that occur throughout the day. We are pleased that these small groups will be led by 8th graders from Wyoming Middle School. We believe it will be a wonderful thing to have our 8th graders mentoring younger students in this way. The 8th graders will be building leadership skills and our 5th graders will feel valued!!

With cold and flu season in full swing, it is a good time to review the Wyoming School District’s medication policy. All medications (prescription and over-the-counter) administered at school must have a written order from a physician. This includes medications such as cough drops, antacids, lip balm, and topical ointments or creams.
In addition to a written order from a physician, all medication must be in the original container in which it was dispensed by the pharmacist. Over-the-counter medication should be labeled with your child’s name on the package.
If your child needs medication during the school day, please have the physician complete the medication consent form, which can be found on the Wyoming School District’s website or may be picked up at your child’s school office. Please contact the school nurse if you have questions or if you would like to discuss specifics about your child’s medication.

The 7th ANNUAL Wyoming Winter Music Festival will be 7-10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center
You don’t want to miss this unique WSMA fundraising event!
How it works: Gather at 7 p.m. at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center ballroom to grab a beverage and get your backstage pass for an evening of music by our talented high school performers. The Wyoming High School Brass Ensemble and the cast of The Addams Family kick the evening off with performances for all 120 guests together in the ballroom. Then, using your backstage pass, guests are broken into four groups and they travel from room to room in the Fine Arts Center listening to small group music performances of various genres: Broadway, Singer-Songwriter, Classical. And each room has musically-inspired dinner by the bite options (and beverages are available for the duration of the event). The guests gather back together at 9:30 p.m. for a rousing finale by the Wyoming High School Jazz Band, dessert, and After Party performances by two local bands.
