Announcements 11/17/16

We want to give a big THANK YOU to the Wyoming Police Department for sending officer Jennifer and Officer Brian out to speak to the 6th grade Life Skills Classes on Wednesday November 16, 2016.  The officers covered topics such as: Drugs and Alcohol, Tobacco as well as with information about the curfew and other important community rules.  The officers presented this information on the students level and were able to get the children to participate and interact with them in a very appropriate and positive manner about these challenging topics.  Officer Brian was the lead speaker.

The MathCounts team has a few competitions coming up. The first is a paper competition for the American Math League. It is an 8th grade level. If your student wants to take the competition, they can meet before school Tuesday at 7:15 am or after school Tuesday in room 228. There are two other competitions, where we travel to another school and compete in teams against other schools, before winter break. The other competitions is Dec. 6 after school until 7 pm. The first 16 students who are interested will compose the four teams representing Wyoming. Again, this is open to 6-8th graders.
