The 7th and 8th grade choir will be performing at the Evergreen Assisted Living Home on Thursday, November 17th from 1-3 p.m.   This is our second annual community outreach event for the choir.  We are singing American folk songs, spirituals, and end with 104 singers performing “A Patriotic Salute.”  We have been preparing all year for this performance.  It’s a great opportunity for our students to share their music and to share their time bridging the generation gap.

The MathCounts team has a few competitions coming up. The first is a paper competition for the American Math League. It is an 8th grade level. If your student wants to take the competition, they can meet before school Tuesday at 7:15 am or after school Tuesday in room 228. There are two other competitions, where we travel to another school and compete in teams against other schools, before winter break. The first will be Monday, November 21 at CHCA after school until 7 pm. The first 10 students who are interested in going will be the team for Wyoming. This is open for 6-8th graders. The other competitions is Dec. 6 after school until 7 pm. The first 16 students who are interested will compose the four teams representing Wyoming. Again, this is open to 6-8th graders.
