KEEP ON SELLING WMS!!!  Our first magazine order turn in day is tomorrow, September 8th before school in the WMS cafeteria.  Earn great prizes including a limousine lunch for top selling 5th and 6th grade students and an outing to Dave & Busters for top selling 7th & 8th graders.  We are asking students to set an individual sales goal of six (6) magazines.  The magazine sale is the Wyoming PSAs top fundraiser and we receive 50% of each subscription sold.  The money raised helps to offset costs of Camp Kern for 6th graders and the 8th grade Chicago trip.  Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends and neighbors can purchase or renew online by going to www.apmags.com and selecting “I’d like to shop and support a school”.  Please use code WB3027 to support Wyoming Schools.  Students will be given prize credit for all online sales.

Attention parents of 6th grade girls: Registration is open for Girls on the Run. Go to http://www.gotrcincinnati.org/ to sign your daughter up. This is a wonderful program that works on building self confidence, a support system at school and becoming healthier – both mentally and physically. Practices are Mon and Wed after school til 4:45 from Sept 12 – Nov 19. On Nov 19, all schools participate in a GOTR 5K run downtown. Any questions can be sent to Stephanie O’Hara at oharas@wyomingcityschools.org

Attn: All Geocachers!

During second quarter of school (Oct-Jan), we will be teaching an experienceship on geocaching and orienteering to small group of students. There are some geocaches near the middle school that we would be able to find during the 90 minutes we get on Wednesdays to explore. However, most are too far away for us to travel to safely by foot. If you enjoy geocaching and would like to hide/tag a geocache before the end of October, we would love some help adding more. We are trying to keep the students from crossing over Springfield Pike if possible, north of Grove Park and south of Oak park. Thanks so much! If you are an avid geocacher and would like to help a few Wednesdays in Nov/Dec from 1:30-3:00 pm, please contact Stephanie O’Hara at oharas@wyomingcityschools.org. Thanks and happy geocaching!
