Join the Wyoming Alcohol Task Force for an Important Conversation!

Join the Wyoming Alcohol Task Force as we explore steps to reduce the current opioid epidemic impacting the Tri-State area and posing a risk to our children. A panel of experts, led by Emcee Mary Haag, President/CEO of PreventionFIRST!, will discuss four key strategies to reducing the impact of the opioid epidemic, including 1) Prevention, 2) Treatment, 3) Harm Reduction, and 4) Supply Reduction. Panelists will include Nicole Schiesler, Director of Coalition Strategies, PreventionFIRST!, Steve Walkenhorst, President, The Health Experiences, Libby Harrison, Program Manager, Cincinnati Exchange Project, as well as local law enforcement. The presentation will include information sharing and opportunities for Questions & Answers, with a focus on how we can help protect our families.

We have two exciting events coming to the WMS in March, and we are looking for parent volunteers to help make them both a success!
- On Saturday, March 19, WMS will be hosting over 240 seventh and eighth grade creative writers from 40 schools at the Power of the Pen Regional Tournament. We are looking for volunteers to donate supplies as well as to help out at lunch and in the “behind-the-scenes” tab room. - WMS will be holding its annual Scholastic Book Fair from March 21-24–just in time for students to find a new book to read over Spring Break!
