The Wyoming School Foundation Names Fund in Honor of Recent Trustee, Guy Belew

The Wyoming School Foundation Board of Trustees has unanimously agreed to name its unrestricted fund The Guy Belew Memorial Fund.

Guy and his lovely wife Cindy were married in 1988, and their three wonderful children, Bonnie, Guy Jr. and Harrison, all graduated from Wyoming High School.  Guy was an avid tennis player and loved music, but besides his family, his two strongest passions were his church and the Wyoming Schools.

Guy served as VP of Marketing on the Executive Board of the Wyoming School Foundation from 2011 – 2014. During his tenure on the Board, Guy worked passionately to help the Foundation readily meet the immediate needs of the Wyoming City Schools through its unrestricted funds.  Guy lost his battle with esophageal cancer in the Fall of 2014.  It is an honor to remember Guy’s passion and love of our community through the naming of this fund.

During the Foundation’s annual fundraising event, Denim and Diamonds, which is this Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Glendale Lyceum, a special appeal will be held to give guests the opportunity to make a gift in support of The Guy Belew Memorial Fund.  All funds raised will directly benefit the immediate needs of Wyoming City Schools.  If you would like to contribute to this fund, please go to:  www.wyomingschoolfoundation.org/event/guybelewfund.
