8th Grade Ads for Yearbook
8th grade parents have the option of purchasing an ad dedicated to their child for the yearbook. The cost of an ad is $25.00. If you would like to purchase an ad, please go to: http://goo.gl/vFPxXw and follow the directions.
Please enclose these 2 items – photo (no digital) and check (no cash) made payable to Wyoming Board of Education, in an envelope marked “8th Grade Ad”. Parents traditionally choose an infant or preschool picture of their child. Please submit original photo. Photos will be returned by January. Turn into Mr. Rensberger. Deadline for submission is Friday, October 16, 2015 by 3:00 pm. NO EXCEPTIONS! The yearbook staff has deadlines to meet. Annie, Jr. Rehearsal Schedule for the week – Please refer to the October 12, 2015 WMS Blog.
The Wyoming Middle School will present the musical “Annie, Jr.” on Friday, October 16th and Saturday, October 17th. Show times are 7:00pm each night at the WHS Pendery Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased for $5.00 before school or during lunch at Wyoming Middle School or at the door one hour before show time. Come out and enjoy the show!
Seventh and eighth grade students interested in joining the swim team: There will be a parent meeting Wednesday, October 21st at 7 PM at Powel Crosely YMCA in the multi-purpose room. Please see Ms. Toerner with any questions.
The Cincinnati Opera is visiting Wyoming Middle School on Thursday, October 15th from 1:30-2:30 p.m. All 7th and 8th grade students will be able to watch a performance of Mozart’s opera, The Marriage of Figaro. A question/answer session will conclude the event.

Parents and Middle Schoolers Interested in Model United Nations-
Wyoming High School will be hosting the WYOMUN II Conference on Saturday, November 7, and we’d love for you to register! WYOMUN is a great conference to prepare students for high school Model UN. For those who have attended the OMUN Conference, most high school conferences are drastically different, and WYOMUN will be a chance to participate in conferences more similar to what you may be doing in the future (and it’s very fun!). The first registration deadline is this Saturday, October 10 and requires a $35 fee per delegate. The late deadline is Saturday, October 17 and requires a $45 fee. 4rd Annual BOO RUN RUN & Haunted Trail
(Formerly the Run for the Kids)

Registration at 5:00pm, pumpkin dash 5:30pm, 5K 6:00pm
This costumed event will take place at the Wyoming Recreations Center starting with a pumpkin dash for the little ones at 5:30. The 5K run will start at 6:00 pm. After the 5K runner and spectators can watch the costume contest, hang out at the post race party, and get ready to be spooked at the Haunted Trail. Wyoming Youth Services is as a non-profit social service agency dedicated to strengthening the Wyoming community through volunteerism, prevention, and support. Last year, the lives of nearly 800 youth and their families were enriched through our programs that provide student volunteer opportunities (Service Learning), mentoring, tutoring, life skills education, counseling, and crisis intervention. All programs are provided free of charge to Wyoming residents. Charitable contributions from the community, School, and City, as well as fundraising efforts play a vital part in supporting our mission.
