Announcements 8/21/15

Wyoming Athletic Booster Cards – This year the boosters are going to distribute as many passes as possible before the first football game in hopes of eliminating the back-up at the gate.  Passes will be available  for pick-up and purchase Tuesday, August 25 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 27 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the entrance to the football stadium.  Parents may allow their children to pick up passes as long as they can be identified.  After these evenings, passes will be dropped off at individual residences or be available for pick-up at the first home football game on September 4.

WSMA:  Wyoming School Music Association (a/k/a music boosters)
It’s time to sign up to sell the ever-popular chip wheelies and help WSMA raise money to support the music programs in our schools from Kindergarten through High School. If you have an hour or two to volunteer, we can use your help.

WSMA sells Graeter’s Chip Wheelies at home football games and all the school concerts.  These ice cream sandwiches are a huge favorite with the kids (and adults).  It’s easy!!  We handle the ordering and delivery of Chip Wheelies to a special freezer at the High School.  We’ll supply you with signage, a cash box, and instructions.  It’s a short time commitment. If you have younger kids who want to attend the football game, you’ll have a good excuse for being there.  Concert sales only take about an hour of time.  If you are interested in volunteering, the link is:

Thanks for supporting our student musicians through WSMA! More information on WSMA can be found at

“Annie, Jr.” is coming to Wyoming Middle School!

The Wyoming Middle School will present the musical “Annie, Jr.” on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17 at WHS Pendery Auditorium.  Auditions for this production will be Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1 at select times between 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the choir room at WMS.  All 5th – 8th graders are invited to audition.  Please click on this link to sign up for an audition (and to read ALL the important information about what you need to audition!):

A few notes for those interested in auditioning:

Rehearsals will be from 4:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. Monday – Thursday and Fridays from 3:20 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.  (not everyone will be needed every day, but conflicts must be kept to a minimum).

  • If a student cannot attend all of Tech Week Rehearsals (October 12-15, 4:00 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.) or one of the shows (October 15 and 16, 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.), please do NOT audition as the student will not be cast.
  • If a student is playing a fall sport, they may audition, but they will NOT be considered for a lead role. There are simply too many conflicts to successfully do both, but the directors want these students to have to option to be involved in some way.
  • Those that sign up to audition will need to sing a song (read sign up for specifics), read from the script, AND bring a completed and signed audition form.  Use this google documents link to print your own form.  A parent MUST sign the form.

Lastly, the Tech Crew information will be sent out at a later date.  If you are interested in being involved on Tech Crew, just hold tight and the information will be on the blog soon!
