Grades 5-8 Band Concert – Don’t forget that the Spring Band Concert is Tuesday (5/12) at 7:00 p.m. in Pendery Center.  Students should arrive at 6:45 p.m.  This time is a change from the school calendar.  We hope to see everyone at Pendery Center at the High School tomorrow evening!

Attention All Parents: please ask your children if they have any overdue books or outstanding fines.   Overdue and Fine Notices will be given to students today or tomorrow in their homeroom.  There are still over 200 students that need to take care of these responsibilities—we are asking students to please be respectful of our resources and time and take care of the overdue books or fines this week!  Thank you for your help in this matter! Students can login to their accounts at home if they need to check what is outstanding (username is student ID # and password is 1234). Questions please email me at

Attention 8th Grade Parents:  Attached are three documents about upcoming events:

  1. 8th Grade Panoramic Form-If you did not purchase a picture today and would like one, stop by the office to pick up a form.  Bring the completed form and payment back to the office by Tuesday, May 12th.

Pinhole Photography  Pinhole Photography is back!  Please mark your calendars to attend the Pinhole Photo Reception on Thursday, May 28th from 6-8 PM  in the Middle School Art Gallery.






Cincinnati State is offering three free credit hours as part of their “3 and A Book” for qualified high school students and rising 9thgraders.  Interested students need to submit their high school transcripts or 8thgrade report card and fill out an application  The list of eligible courses is also available on the website.  For more information about “3 And A Book,” contact Lana Teeto at 569-1640 or  Keep in mind that this is NOT for high school credit; it is simply a summer enrichment opportunity and/or potentially college credit.

This is a reminder to all students running for Student Council for the 2015-2016 school year.  Your speeches are due to Mrs. Doblinger by Thursday, May 14th at 3:15pm.  If your speech is not received, you will be ineligible to run.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Doblinger in room 216.  Seventh and eighth grade students wanting to hang posters in the cafeteria need to give them to Mrs. Doblinger in order to get them hung.  All other posters should be hung in the designated areas already assigned to your grade.


Wheel-a-thon –  the deadline to turn in Wheel-A-Thon money is Wednesday May 13th. Every student that turns in money will receive a goodie bag. The top fundraiser in each grade will receive May Fete tickets and the top overall fundraiser will earn a pool and pizza party at the YMCA!


Attention students: This is spirit week! Tuesday you can wear a hat, Wednesday is Fancy Day and Thursday is Dress-a-like day! We will be collecting spare change/donations at lunch to benefit Relay for Life.
