Grades 5-8 Strings Concert – Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in Pendery Center.


Scheduling Flex Credit for 9th grade: Credit Flex gives students the opportunity to earn traditional credit in non-traditional ways. Credit Flex applications are available in the Guidance Office.  Students who are interested in taking Summer PE or online Health must complete a credit flex application. Applications are due April 10th.This is a firm deadline.  If you have questions, please contact Ms. Moore or Ms. Ussery in the high school guidance office.  Flex credit forms will be available in the middle school Guidance Office.



Tuesday – Enchilada casserole

Thursday – Cincinnati Chili 3-way or cheese coney

8th Grade Parents – The Wyoming High School Grade 8 Parent Course Selection Meeting has been rescheduled for this evening, March 16, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria (this is a change of location).

Community Engagement Session – Parents: Mark your calendars for our community engagement session. Next Wednesday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Wyoming High School’s Pendery Center. Join Superintendent Dr. Sue Lang and a panel of experts for an educational evening about the state of public education. Bring your questions about state and federal mandates as well as assessments.


FREE Spring Break Program

Wyoming Youth Services offers a free program that will be held at the Municipal Gym (800 Oak Avenue) from 12-2pm  each day from March 30th-April 2nd. Participants must be in grades 5-8 and residents of Wyoming. Activities will include building motorized Lego projects with “Bricks for Kids”, painting and hanging birdhouses, a visit from live animals courtesy of Great Parks of Hamilton County, and a game of laser tag with the “Lazer Craze To Go” program. Dear String Parents,

This will be your first experience with our concerts taking place in a building other than the one we attend.  There are some logistics that must be addressed before this day arrives.

Our concert is on Tuesday, March 17 at 7 pm.  On that day, both 5th and 6th grade students will walk to the high school to have a dress rehearsal on the stage during the school day.  For this to take place, we ask parents to drop off their child’s instrument at the high school In the mirrored hallway before school Tuesday.  We will be housing instruments on tables in the mirrored hallway.  Violins and violas will be placed on the designated tables and cellos below.  Bass players should take their basses across the stage and store them there.

As this is the first time you are experiencing this, we thought it would be best to share the details with you.  Of course, if you have questions, please write or call.  You’ll find my cell phone number at the end of the email.


On Saturday, March 21st, Wyoming Middle School has the honor and the privilege of hosting the 2015 Power of the Pen Regional Tournament, allowing us the opportunity to share our beautifully renovated building with schools from across the area.   Over 250 talented seventh and eighth grade area writers will compete to earn recognition for their narrative and expository skills.

In order for this tournament to run smoothly, we need adult volunteers to help with hospitality and tab room responsibilities.  Please click on the link below and sign up if you are able to donate time or refreshments to this event.

[Park in the HS lot off of Springfield Pike, walk down the steps near the parking lot and enter in through the back entrance.  The rooms are right down the hall]

We will finish the meeting before 7:00 pm to allow those parents attending the 8th grade course selection meeting to get there on-time
