On Saturday, March 21st, Wyoming Middle School has the honor and the privilege of hosting the 2015 Power of the Pen Regional Tournament, allowing us the opportunity to share our beautifully renovated building with schools from across the area.   Over 250 talented seventh and eighth grade area writers will compete to earn recognition for their narrative and expository skills.

In order for this tournament to run smoothly, we need adult volunteers to help with hospitality and tab room responsibilities.  Please click on the link below and sign up if you are able to donate time or refreshments to this event.

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of Fifth Graders:

The Wyoming City Schools Board of Education requires all students in the 5th grade receive a physical examination with the results submitted prior to the start of 6th grade. Go to the following link for a copy of the physical form for your convenience:  Student Physical and Immunization Form.  One side of the form is for parental completion, the other for your child’s health care provider.  If your child had a physical exam last school year another is not necessary; however, documentation of the physical must be provided to the school. Please have your health care provider complete the form and then you may return it to school.  If you have any questions I may be reached at 513-206-7182 or by email at judgea@wyomingcityschools.org.

8th Grade Parents – The Wyoming High School Grade 8 Parent Course Selection Meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, March 16, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in Pendery Center.

STUDENTS

Students, please remember to bring your headphones for PARCC testing.

The Wyoming Middle School Variety Show will be held on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18.  Auditions will be held on Tuesday, March 3 at Pendery Auditorium.  8th graders are invited to audition to be an Emcee, in addition to auditioning with their own act.  All other students may audition with one act.  There will be a theme chosen AFTER the audition process.  Please read the guidelines on the Sign-Up Genius link carefully as some things have changed since past years – including the audition times for various acts. The rehearsal schedule is also listed on the sign-up.

Go grab a group of friends to audition (there is more “safety in numbers”).  Good luck, have fun, mix it up, be silly, and enjoy the process!  The Variety Show is a special event at Wyoming Middle School and we are thrilled you are interested in auditioning!  Please go to the following link for Sign-Up Genius: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0849adae2dab9-wyoming2
