Nomination forms for Wyoming Citizen of the Year are due THIS FRIDAY, October 31. 

Don’t let this deadline slip by…… Do you know someone who has made a significant volunteer contribution to the City of Wyoming?  How about to the Wyoming Schools, to their church or synagogue, or to the general Cincinnati community?

Look around—there are so many wonderful Wyoming volunteers.  Nominate someone today!!

The Promote Wyoming Committee (PWC) is currently seeking nominations for their annual Citizen of the Year recognition ceremony.  Selections are made from nominations sent in by YOU–their friends, family, and fellow community members.

PWC sponsors this annual celebration, held each January, to publicly recognize Wyoming citizens who have made significant volunteer contributions to Wyoming and/or to the City of Cincinnati.

Nomination forms are on-line: http://www.wyomingohio.gov or can be found in the lobby of the City Building, or Wyoming Rec Center.

Please nominate someone today—forms due by October 31.

 

PARENTS

Conferences at the middle school will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.  As in the past, we have only sent out conference letters to those whom teachers have requested to have conferences.  If you did not receive a letter but would like to set up a conference, please feel free to contact Mrs. O’Neill at 206-7178 on Thursday, October 30, 2014 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

STUDENTS

MathCOUNTS – The first math competition of the year is approaching. Four local schools will compete against each other at the Milford Mini MathCOUNTS competition. Grades 5 – 8 are welcome in teams of 2, 3, or 4 students. Pick your own team or we can put you in one. The competition is Tuesday Nov 18th from 4 to 7 in Milford. Transportation is provided, as well as pizza, snacks, desert and drinks. Attention 7th and 8th Grade Boys –   There will be a short informational meeting on Wednesday, October 29th at 3:15 p.m.for all 7th and 8th grade boys interested in trying out for the middle school basketball team.  The meeting will be held in the high school cafeteria.

 

Attention 7th and 8th Graders – There will be a meeting for all those interested in joining the middle school swim team on Wednesday, October 29th’ at 7:00 p.m. in the Powell Crosley YMCA Aquatic Room.

 

“Wrestling Sign-Up Meeting for 7th and 8th Graders – HS Cafeteria on 11/4 @ 3:20 – Come right after school to meet Coach Grunenberg and learn about the world’s oldest sport. There are 16 weight classes from 80# to 245#, so you do not need to be the biggest or tallest to succeed.  Bring a friend to the meeting and sign up to build strength and confidence this winter.  Everyone on the team will wrestle in each event – THERE ARE NO BENCH WARMERS!”
