We will be starting our Fall Fitness Assessment next week in PE. Students will be asked to perform the 1-mile run in order to help access everyone’s cardiorespiratory endurance. If your child uses an inhaler at school and carries the inhaler him/herself, please ensure it is with them at all times, especially during these assessments. Students with inhalers in the nurse’s office should come use their inhaler before and/or after class as needed. Muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility will also be assessed. If your son or daughter is injured or has a medical condition that will require they be excused from these activities, please have them bring in a note for class. The results of our fall assessments will help our students develop and plan long-term goals of achieving health-related levels of fitness throughout the year.

Wyoming School Music Association “WSMA” supports the music programs in our schools from Kindergarten through High School. If you have an hour or two to volunteer, they can use your help. WSMA sells Graeter’s Chip Wheelies at home football games, Middle School plays, and all the school concerts. These ice cream sandwiches are a huge favorite with the kids (and adults). Haven’t sold Chip Wheelies before? It’s easy!! WSMA handles the ordering and delivery of Chip Wheelies to a special freezer at the High School. They’ll also supply you with signage, a cash box, and instructions. It’s a short time commitment. If you have younger kids who want to attend a home football game, you’ll have a good excuse for being there. Concert sales only take about an hour of time.
