Progress Book – Registration Keys for ProgressBook will be mailed home to parents within the week.  This will allow you to a set up a ProgressBook account.


LaRosa’s Pizzeria on Springfield Pike in Wyoming is a now a proud supporter of Wyoming PSA!   We are pleased to announce that LaRosa’s Wyoming is offering a “10% back to Wyoming PSA” for all Dine-in, Carry-out AND Delivery orders.  Go to the following attachment for dates and more information about the program:  LaRosa’s PSA flyer.  The first date for 10% back to Wyoming PSA is September 14th.


Grades 7 & 8 Open House – The staff at Wyoming Middle School would like to invite you to Open House scheduled for grades seven and eight, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.  These programs are designed for parents only and provide a wonderful opportunity to meet the teachers and learn about their classes.

Please report to your child’s homeroom class for your child’s schedule.  Please get this information from your child.  For your convenience, teachers’ homeroom locations will be posted.

There is a grade eight parent meeting in Pendery Center at 6:15 p.m. prior to open house to discuss the eighth grade Chicago trip.

The WMS Magazine Sale – Calling all middle school parents!  The magazine sale has begun and we are in URGENT need of volunteers.  Please go to the sign up genius link and pick a slot.  We need your help with collecting and processing orders.  If you have any problems opening the link, copy it and paste it in your browser.  If you have any questions contact Beth Easton 761-0513 or Kristen Gettins 821-2789.  Many thanks!


Request for Double Mailing:  According to the Wyoming City Schools Board of Education Policy 8330, in the case of shared custody, parents can annually request a double mailing to receive school information such as report cards. The form for double mailings is available on our website under the Parent tab.  Please send the completed form to the appropriate school building(s).


All 7th graders must receive a Tetanus Booster (Tdap) for the 7th grade year and provide documentation to the school nurse that the vaccine was given. Documentation of the vaccine needs to be submitted to the nurse no later than Tuesday September 9, 2014. Students unable to provide this documentation will not be allowed to come to school on Wednesday September 10, 2014 and will need to be vaccinated in order to return to classes. If you are unsure if documentation of your child’s Tetanus booster is on school file, please call the nurse, Mrs. Angela Judge, at 206-7182.

Do you want to be in Tech Club?  It is open to all students.  You can pick up an application form from your Language Arts Teacher.  Applications are extended to Friday, Sept. 5.

Today we will have a meeting only for tech leaders – those students who have been in Tech Club in previous years.   This will be a planning meeting – come ready to work hard!


Model United Nations – Attention 7th and 8th grade students interested in participating in Model UN.  We will be meeting on Tuesday, September 9th to discuss the program for this year.  Please make plans to attend. We will meeting in the high school cafeteria at 7:00 p.m., and the meeting will last for about an hour.  Parents are encouraged to attend with you.


Chess Club – The first meeting of Chess Club is Monday, September 8th, at 3:15 p.m. in Building 3, Room #20.  This will be an organizational meeting.  After that, meetings will be every Monday.
