Announcements 4/14/14

The boys tennis match scheduled for today has been cancelled due to the weather.

Congratulations to the boys tennis team on their tenacious 4-1 victory over Seven Hills last week. 1st singles player Joe Kelly won his third straight match this week. The rest of the team all battled through 3 set tie breakers with wins for David Keller (2nd singles), Trevor Payne (3rd singles), and George Arenas / Joey Voss (1st doubles).  Kudos to Noah Fershtman / Jack Schwartz (2nd doubles) for their strong effort in their 3 set match.

Ohio Achievement Assessments: Parents and Students  please mark your calendars for the following dates when OAA’s will be administered.  The tests will be given from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

  • Reading – Thursday, April 24th
  • Math – Tuesday, April 29th
  • Science – Thursday, May 1st                                             

8th GRADE REMINDER

WHO:  Eighth Grade Parent/Guardian and Eighth Grade Student

WHAT:  Parent Meeting, Tour and Activity Fair

WHEN:  Tuesday, April 15th, 7 p.m.

WHERE:  Wyoming High School Pendery Auditorium

Please plan to attend.  You and your student will have the opportunity to learn more about high school life, ask questions and visit the Activity Fair.

4th Quarter Tech Club:  If you want to be in 4th quarter Tech Club, forms are due to Mrs. Reiber by the end of the day today.

Attention students:  French Club will take place this Thursday, April 17, in room 34.  We are planning a super fun “Amazing Race” and need your help to organize this event.  ‘See you Thursday.

All 8th grade girls interested in playing soccer at the HS in the fall should plan to attend an informational meeting Tuesday after school in the HS gym. Contact Ms. Gruber with any questions – gruberl@wyomingcityschools.org

Any 8th grade girl interested in playing volleyball next year needs to attend a meeting Wednesday, after school.  The meeting will take place in the high school gym.  This will be a very brief, but very important meeting.

Any 8th grade boy interested in playing soccer next season should plan to attend a brief meeting in the high school cafeteria right after school on  April 17th.

Cheerleading Try-outs:  It’s time for cheerleading try-outs for next fall and winter.   Try-outs start today, April 14th, after school in the high school gym.
