The Wyoming Middle School Power of the Pen team traveled to the Summit Country Day School on Saturday, February 2, for the district competition. The seventh grade team earned a first place trophy, and the eighth grade team placed fourth out of nineteen schools. Additionally, several students earned individual awards: out of 101 eighth graders, Grace Brack placed 14th, Hannah Stoppenhagen placed 12th, and Isabella Getgey earned a Best of Round award for her third story. Congratulations to all of our writers on a fabulous tournament!

Parents of 8th Graders Going on the Chicago Trip
Soon our 8th graders will be blowing through the “Windy City.” There are items we need, and a few volunteers to assist in preparation for the trip would be greatly appreciated.
To make the bus ride more comfortable, we are asking for donations of mini-water bottles for the students, soft drinks for the teachers, and coolers.
There are also volunteer opportunities to assist with the luggage drop-off on Thursday, February 13th. There are two shifts available, so check the sign-up form below. Please help where you can.
