Congratulations to our Power of the Pen writers who competed at SCPA this week. Arlyn Hester, Hannah Stoppenhagen, Leah Brown, Ruby Napora, and Lucy Walton all wrote beautifully! Leah Brown placed 4th in the eighth grade and Hannah earned 18th place in the 7th grade – both will compete at the state competition in Wooster.
MathCounts students placed 7th as a team in the citywide competition this weekend with team members Zach Van Fossen, Zach Reinhold, Vishnu Paranandi, and Quinn Steifbold. Zach Van Fossen also placed third overall. Both Zachs placed high enough to make it to state competition in March. Congrats Team!
Please Join Us for Pancakes at Wyoming Youth Services’ 12th Annual Pancake Breakfast!
Wyoming Youth Services will hold its 12th annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, March 9th, 2013, from 8 to 11:00 A.M. at the Wyoming Civic Center. This is a fun and easy way to give back to the community and welcome Spring with your friends and family! Tickets are $5 for those 4 and older. Children 3 and under eat for free. All proceeds go to support Wyoming Youth Services. www.wyomingyouthservices.com .
This year, there will be musical entertainment by student ensemble and percussion groups, a silent auction, the bon appetite raffle, as well as the always popular chocolate chip pancakes. Plus, we will be raffling off two Raleigh bicycles each valued at $300. Tickets will be sold at the event for $1 apiece. It only takes one to win, but you can buy as many as you would like.
