  • Congratulations to the 8th grade football team for their win over Deer Park.  Go Cowboys!
  • All 7th and 8th grade girls who love playing basketball:  there will be an informational meeting right after school in Mr. Kunkel’s room (201) from 3:15 to 3:30 on Tuesday, October 2.  You can meet the coaches and find out when tryouts and the season start.  We’ll see you there!
  • Fall Festival Book Booth:  We will begin to collect used paperback books, cds, dvds, videos, audio books, board games, and software next Monday for the Fall Festival Book Booth.  Students, please bring your donations to your homeroom teacher to be counted, then take them to the gallery in the auditorium.
  • Attention all 7th and 8th grade students interested in participating in Model United Nations:  Please pick up an information form outside of Mr. Allen’s room.  Your signed form is due Friday, October 5th.  See Mr. Allen with any questions.
  • During the month of October we are offering a 20% discount to those ordering season tickets for the high school drama program.  Our theme this year is “from darkness into light”.  We begin the year with Arthur Miller’s The Crucible followed by our spring musical OLIVER! and end with Oscar Wilde’s, The Importance of Being Earnest.  We hope you will join us.  Please fill out the attached order form and return by October 31.   • Interim grades have been posted online.  For instructions on how to get your student’s interim go to the following link http://onmedia.wyomingcityschools.org/videos.php?watch=382
  • Fees:  If you have not paid your student fees, they are now past due.  Fees for 5th and 6th grade students are $35.00.  Fees for 7th and 8th grade students are $45.00.  You may pay them online, or send cash or a check (made out to “Wyoming Board of Education”) to the office.
  • Students and Parents: When forgotten instruments are brought to the office, they will be taken to their respective music rooms by the office staff. Students will not be called out of class to pick up an instrument.
  • 7th and 8th Grade Students: Mark your calendars!  The first 7th & 8th Grade dance is Friday, October 5th from 7:00-9:00 pm  in the middle gym.  Tickets are $3.00 and will be sold during lunch on Thursday and Friday.
  • Student Council is sponsoring a team from Wyoming Middle School to participate in the 3.5 mile Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 6th at Sawyer Point. Sign-up will be held during lunch September 25th, 27th and 28th. Parent volunteers are needed to drive students and to participate in the walk.   • Wyoming Youth Services is sponsoring a 5K/10K Run for the Kids on October 6th on the streets of Wyoming near Oak Park. Go to the following link for a registration form WYS Run Registration Form
