Announcements 9/11/12

  • Students and Parents:  We have started a new system for forgotten lunches.  Lunches that are brought in for students will be put on the counter by the teachers’ lunchroom for student pick-up.  Students will no longer be called to the office to get forgotten lunches.
  • There is no Tech Meeting on Wednesday.  Mrs. Reiber is out of the building for a meeting.  See Mrs. Reiber on Wednesday at lunch for assignments for this week.
  • School Fees will be collected at the Middle School all this week. Fees for grades 5 & 6 are $35.00 and for grades 7 & 8 are $45.00. Please make checks payable to the “Wyoming Board of Education. ” Fees may also be paid online. Please go to and click on the “Parent” tab. There you will find the link for student fees.
  • 7th & 8th Grade Writers: Power of the Pen tryouts begin today. Try out in Room 321 at 3:30 p.m. ‘Hope to see you there.
  • STUDENT DIRECTORY INFO: The deadline for being listed in and ordering the 2012-13 PSA Student Directory has been extended to Friday, Sept. 14. Directory/membership forms can be found at WYOMINGPSA.ORG. Payments can be made on the website. Membership in PSA gets you a subscription to The Lariat, PSA’s monthly electronic newsletter, packed with timely parent/school information. If you are currently a PSA member and are having trouble receiving The Lariat, please check your SPAM folder.   • Open House for grades five and six is scheduled on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. These programs are designed for parents only and provide a wonderful opportunity to meet the teachers and learn about their classes. Please report to your child’s AM teacher’s classroom for your child’s schedule. Please get this information from your child. The Middle School Staff looks forward to seeing you at Open House.   • Wyoming Spirit Wear will be available for purchase at Open House on Thursday evening.
  • Parents of 7th graders:Mrs. Sherman, R.N., our school nurse, MUST have documentation of your child’s Tdap immunization by 9/14/12 or your child will be EXCLUDED from school starting Monday 9/17/12 until it is provided.
  • Parents of 7th and 8th graders: For a student to play on a school team, the sports physical must be on an OHSAA physical form. The physical exam is only good for one calendar year. If the physical expires during the school year, your child will not be allowed to practice or play until a new physical exam is provided.   • Student Council is sponsoring a team from Wyoming Middle School to participate in the 3.5 mile Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 6th at Sawyer Point. Sign-up will be held during lunch September 25th, 27th and 28th. Parent volunteers are needed to drive students and to participate in the walk. Students will have the opportunity to win prizes.
