Announcements 6/5/12

  • 8th Grade Students & Parents: The 8th Grade Ceremony is Thursday, June 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pendery Center for the Arts.Rehearsal will be on Thursday morning, June 7, at the Pendery Center.  Students should report directly to the high school gymnasium by 8:30 a.m.  Students who ride the bus to the middle school will meet in front of the middle school at 8:15 a.m. to walk to the high school with a teacher.  At the rehearsal, students will receive their tickets for the ceremony.  All fees and obligations must be paid before your student will be given his/her tickets.  If your student has any outstanding obligations, a green fee notice is enclosed. Students will be released from the high school at 11:00 a.m. unless you have previously notified us in writing.  Students whose parents prefer they remain in school will be brought back to the middle school for the remainder of the school day.  Dress for the ceremony should be a shirt and tie for boys and girls should wear dresses with some sort of strap (spaghetti straps are fine, but no strapless dresses).  Students should arrive that evening by 6:30 p.m. and report to the hallway between the technology room and the cafeteria.We would like to invite you to a reception following the ceremony in the high school cafeteria.  It will be a great time to take pictures and congratulate the students.

  • Students who were elected for next year’s Student Council are invited to the meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. in Room 204.
  • Any Current 6th or 7th grade girl interested in tennis next fall, there will be a meeting Wednesday, June 6th, in the gym.
  • The Wyoming Youth Services Summer Program deadline has been extended to today.  Forms are available in the main office or on-line at This is a free program. Go to the following attachment for more information and registration forms: Summer Program 2012 Registration Packet
  • Incoming 7th and 8th Graders:  Because the Cross Country season starts shortly after school begins, there will be summer fun runs and information sessions.  If you are interested in learning more about cross country or want to know about summer fun runs and information sessions; please send your email address to and I will send you information over the summer.
  • 6th  and 7th Grade Girls interested in playing volleyball next year need to attend a meeting tomorrow after school in Room 317 (Mr. Fiehrer’s room).  This meeting will be very brief, but very important.  Please bring an email address and phone number that can be used over the summer.
  • Attention current 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Students interested in learning how to pole vault.  There will be a brief informational meeting in the gym Thursday after school at 3:10 p.m. with Coach Knickel from the high school track team.
